Integrate real time access to hydrophone vocalisations so visibility of system status is current in real time. Using heuristics, the existing Whale Alert App was evaluated and found that reports in real time could be anticipated through underwater vocalizations. This further helps to identify marine mammal presence for the safety of the whales and boaters as well. The Whale Alert app itself is already quick to load for reference and straightforward in its use as a log book and quick resource guide for the citizen scientist.
